What could be more fitting for the time of year, than this beautiful painting of the lavender fields in France. Capturing the calm, warm days and the bright blues and violets of the lavender, this painting also features a chateau or French country house to add to the atmosphere.

This painting uses a variety of techniques, developed by Matthew, which will help to further improve your watercolour skills, suitable for beginners and more experienced painters.

Held at COMPTON VILLAGE HALL, THE STREET, COMPTON, GUILDFORD, SURREY, GU3 1EG.  (DIRECTIONS CLICK HERE)

PARKING: is in the Layby, directally outside the hall, or on the pavement. Compton has lots of street parking, a good place is near the red phone box…. You can also park on the wide pavement in front of the hall. There is a large car park at the rear of the church as well (this is 5 min walk away from the centre).
