Paint A Beautiful Sunflower Meadow In A Stunning Landscape With Picturesque Windmill In Watercolours
With Summer arriving, what could make the place feel more warm and summery than this beautiful scene full of bright sunflowers and featuring a windmill? Let Matthew guide you through painting this stunning landscape, sure to brighten up any home.
This painting uses a variety of techniques, developed by Matthew, which will help to further improve your watercolour skills, suitable for beginners and more experienced painters.
(note: pre drawn 100% cotton paper is available, so no drawing is required. This is optional)

Held at the OAKLANDS CENTRE, Warsop, Mansfield NG20 OJE (DIRECTIONS CLICK HERE)
SAT NAV USERS: be careful not to go down a back road. Drive down Peafield Lane from Mansfield, find the mini roundabout (see map).
Do not turn left if your sat nav tells you, go straight towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, turn left and then take your second turning left and you’re there.

BASIC EQUIPMENT LIST: A sheet of watercolour paper, ideally stuck to a board with masking tape. Matthew will use large size paper but 1/4 imperial size (11″x15″), Not or Rough surface 140lb/300gsm is fine. PAPER AVAILABLE ON THE DAY
Matthews full range of paints but you can do the scene with ONLY 3 colours,Primary Colours: 1- Natural Blue (or french ultramarine blue or cobalt blue) 2- Natural Red (or alizarin crimson or rose madder) 3- Natural yellow light (or cadmium yellow light or aureolin)
Matthews full range of brushes. But you can just use ONLY 3 brushes.: 1- a large brush (size 14, 16 or 20 round or a 1″ flat) 2- a medium brush (size 10 or 12 round) 3- a small brush (size 4, 5 or 6 round). (An Optional 4th brush) a rigger brush or a Matthew Palmer Branch & Detail Brush (not necessary but will make the detail a tad easier)
Remember you can loan materials from Matthew on the day.
