why not not join Matthew to paint this lovely nautical seascape. Featuring a clipper style ship on rough seas in a storm, this is a thrilling and vibrant picture which Matthew will guide you through step-by-step.
This painting uses a variety of techniques, developed by Matthew, which will help to further improve your watercolour skills, suitable for beginners and more experienced painters.

BASIC EQUIPMENT LIST: A sheet of watercolour paper, ideally stuck to a board with masking tape. Matthew will use large size paper but 1/4 imperial size (11″x15″), Not or Rough surface 140lb/300gsm is fine. PAPER AVAILABLE ON THE DAY
Matthews full range of paints but you can do the scene with ONLY 3 colours,Primary Colours: 1- Natural Blue (or french ultramarine blue or cobalt blue) 2- Natural Red (or alizarin crimson or rose madder) 3- Natural yellow light (or cadmium yellow light or aureolin)
Matthews full range of brushes. But you can just use ONLY 3 brushes.: 1- a large brush (size 14, 16 or 20 round or a 1″ flat) 2- a medium brush (size 10 or 12 round) 3- a small brush (size 4, 5 or 6 round). (An Optional 4th brush) a rigger brush or a Matthew Palmer Branch & Detail Brush (not necessary but will make the detail a tad easier)
Remember you can loan materials from Matthew on the day.
